About simplicity

I don't know if it's with age or just with time, but you start to appreciate simple quality things. You want fewer devices with a thousand functions and buttons. You want something simple, understandable, and that "would be fucking awesome". Perhaps the brain is simply no longer able to perceive new information. Which is not surprising, given the amount of news, articles, movies, music, games, and any other information that surrounds us today. It's all very hard to absorb even at a superficial level. Not to mention deep understanding. And you really want that understanding. That's why there's such a pull toward simple things.

This is what I'm getting at. I just finished reading a couple of chapters about CSS from "HTML And CSS" by Jon Duckett and applied a simple style to this blog. And the funniest thing is that it turned out not very far from what I imagined in my head. A good font and a white background. You'd think, what else do you need for happiness.
